Droids fill an important role in the Star Wars films. There are good droids and there are bad droids and there are Star Wars Lego droids to represent many different kinds of droids. The Star Wars movies do a good job of giving personalities to many of these droids, with some of the more popular droids becoming main characters such as R2-D2 and C-3PO. Some of the functions that droids perform including assisting in piloting spacecraft, language translation, medical help, military and many other uses.
